BEST STEAK FOR STEAK BITES

The cut of meat I chose to use for this recipe was top sirloin steak. Top sirloin is known for being one of the more tender cuts of meat, especially when compared to the other sirloin cuts. Of course, the cut of meat you choose to use in this recipe depends entirely on you and your budget.
When choosing your steak, look for one that has lots of marbling and one that is at least 1-1 1/2 inches thick. Other cuts of steak to consider,
  • Porterhouse (New York Strip Steak)
  • T-bone
  • Club Steaks
  • Tenderloin
  • Rib-eye
  • Stripsteak

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC BUTTER STEAK BITES

One of the easiest ways to enjoy steak, figuring out how to make steak bites is super simple.
  1. Get your pan hot! The trick to making these steak bites is getting your pan nice and hot before adding anything to the skillet. The reason for this is that you want to give your steak bites a nice sear to help trap in those juices and create extra flavor.
  2. Don’t over-crowd your skillet. You will probably need to cook your steak bites in at least two batches as you want to add the meat in a single layer.
  3. Let your steak hang out for a minute or two before you even think about stirring it all together. Again, this is for that nice, golden sear. If the meat sticks to the skillet little, that’s ok. Scrape off the stuck-on parts when you add the butter. After all, all those little bits mean extra flavor.
  4. Don’t ignore your steak. Yes, you want to sear your steak for 1-2 minutes on each side, but you do not want to ignore it. Remember, your steak will continue to cook even after it is removed from the skillet so if it’s a little medium-rare that’s ok.
  5. Reduce the heat of the skillet when you add the garlic and butter. I love toasted garlic, but burnt garlic? Not as much.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH STEAK BITES?

The beauty of these steak bites is that you can serve them with just about anything. Whether you’re on a low-carb diet, or just looking to get something delicious on the table for your family to enjoy, everyone will love this garlic butter steak bite recipe.
My suggestions would include this easy 10 Minute Garlic Bok Choy with Mushroom Rice Pilaf Recipe. For something a little lighter, this Cucumber Salad is one of my favorites and a perfect balance to the meat. Keep it super simple and serve with buttered noodles, or for a low-carb option, roasted spaghetti squash or butternut squash.
Or, you can do what I ended up doing and eat it straight from the skillet!
